hi, i just bought my 300 a little less than 3 months ago. i havent the funds to do much to it so far. i only have a couple of cosmetic mods. I would very much like to get a set of 22''s and maybe save up for 24''s by next year. unfortunately the ride of the car is going to be real uncomfortable after the aftermarket wheels. now, if i buy the aftermarket coilover struts or whatever they are? will that improve the ride if i decide to buy rims?
also, right now, i noticed that the ride is a little bit bumpier than before? maybe i broke in my suspension parts? i have 5500 miles on it. or could it be me whipping donuts in the rain put too much stress on some of the parts and kinda broke something? anyways, im really into comfort, so if the ride is like a rice rocket after the rims, it probably wouldnt be good to buy them?

To put it in a nutshell. There probably isn't any way to improve the ride.
The 300's are not known for a comfort ride on bumpy, pot holed, roads.
From your profile, it appears you do not have a C, which has the harshest ride, next to the SRT8. So you probably have the best ride you are going to ever have on 17" rims.
Maybe changing the tires will improve the ride, although this solution was for the 300C. Also check your air pressure. On my C's stock 18" wheels, I kept my pressure around 29lbs, which helped smooth out the ride.
Any bigger rims will always make the ride harsher. New shocks/springs will probably not make the ride smoother, and will likely make it rougher.
Maybe there is some combination out there that will smooth out the ride, but I don't recall seeing one.

any feed back is appreciated
Im not sure where you read that 22's = uncomfortable ride as there is hardly any differance in the ride between the 18's and 22's that is if you live someplace that your tax dollar does pay for street repair ... Im in california and the roads are fine here no real issues and i dont come across potholes very often ... with this said ... no one has noticed a ride differance between to 18's and 22's .. i myself being it is my daily driver did notice and extremely minor change .. one that you would not notice unless you were really looking for it ...
I will be putting on the Eibach Pro 1.6 drop springs very soon so i will be able to fill you in there also ...
As for your suspension right now not acting right ... well that boils down to .. if you wanna play johnny rocket on the gas pedal .. you need to have the cash to pay for the breakage I'd take it in and have the dealer give it a look ...

I have 22's with the KW V's and a normal ride is better then stock except for sharp edges, it is still a little rough. I would not go back to the 18's.

thanks fellas. here in sacramento, the streets arent perfect but the majority is smooth enough. i run into atlease 20-30 pot holes a day doing my daily routine. also the highways are uneven so my car used to bounce up and down like a smooth roller coaster. but now its more of a rough bounce, and it doesnt go as high up. ill take it to the dealer for a quick inspection. and i will probably pick up 22''s thanks for the feed back.
