CLunking NoIse!!

Well after installing the KW V2 coilovers and the Magnaflow catback a few weeks ago I was consistently having to go back and tighten a bolt here and a bolt there. But I thought all was well and I had fixed all of the suspension noises, BUT now I have this terrible clunking sound when I hit a bump. It sounds like it is coming from under the car on the passenger side somewhere from the middle of the car to the rear. I can never nail down the exact spot and it is very frustrating. I have already gone back and totally taken the suspension apart and then reinstalled it and it is all good. Also the Magnaflow catback seems to be installed correctly and it seems to be good and tight.

The noise almost sounds like the exhaust is hitting the rear axle when I hit a bump but I keep thinking to my self that this is not possible. If anyone has any idea what problem I could be dealing with I would much appreciate it.

Its not the suspension. Its the Magnaflow. The exhaust has shifted on the bracket and is traveling up when you hit bumps. You need to put the car up on a hoist and move it back over and secure it. permanently!
I had the same experience.

I had the same problem. I at first thought the same thing with regards to my exhaust. I later came to find that my transmission was loose and there is a TSB out for that problem. The knocking sounded like it was coming from under my arm rest. There is apparently a bolt that tends to come loose that holds our transmission down. It took my dealer two days to fix it. Now there is no knocking sound anywhere. I hope this info helps.

Volant CAI, JBA headers, JBA cat-less mids, Borla exhaust, Inertia Street heads, Spartan cam 114 LSA, underdrive pulley, 180 thermo, programmer, hotel seo, hotel printing, hotel marketing still looking for a stronger AWD trans though.

What is the TSB code? I have not seen the bulletin listed yet.
