The way I look at it, you have multiple methods of lowering. Depending on what you want to achieve and how much you have to spend, some options will meet your expectations while others may fall way short.
I didn't have a bottomless bank account, so when it came to suspension after all the other expenses, I opted for something on the "lets look good for now" end of the range.
I would have gone the KW2 route, but it was questionble if I could do the install myself. Adding installation to the cost had me looking at alternatives.
I went with Eibach springs due to amount of lowering they provided, feedback on quality, installation and cost.
After getting them, no regrets. But I'm still looking to upgrade to KW2s.
With the Eibachs, I will say that my experience is when new, I was in totally heaven. I could not believe that just springs could provide the ride quality and the profile just like that. Remember, going from stock tires to the rubber bands you should expect some added feel of the road. So I was not looking for KW2 performance with just springs. After the springs settled in (4 months or so) I did notice some of the stiffness went away. But still pleased with the ride and profile for the money spent.
I have 22s and 265/35s with 15 offset. The tires fit right at the fender. Initially I had no rubbing with Pro Kit 1.6" drop. But after the springs settled in and weakened, I have to be more carefull of dips. A fender roll will take care of that when I get a chance to get it done.
If I wanted to go much lower than 1.6" and still use my car as a daily driver, I would consider UAS. Drop for show and up for go.
Another option that most people are forgetting is that you do not have to go with the full blown air suspension with on-board air.
If you want a nice adjustable drop you can always go with bags at each corner, and a schrader (tire) valve and use a little hand held compressor to manually adjust each corner.
Like having the adjust-ability of the coil overs with out the jack.
Then down the road, if you wanted in cab control add on the tank compressors and all those goodies and you can adjust from inside.

If one were to go with the "economy" way that you talk of with a handheld compressor.......would you have to let the air out of all 4 bags if you park it overnight? Will the bags be okay at that set height for long periods of time? If the bags are okay at that set height for long periods, do they slowly leak and have to be periodically checked and re-filled?
Sorry, just dont know that much about air suspension other than its very popular with the mini-truck crowd.

No you leave the car air'ed up. Yes its ok to leave it up for a long period. They will slightly change height with extreme tempature changes I.e. desert at 110 during the day and 50 during the night.
With the fittings (solid brass D.O.T. Approved) that we use its designed not to leak. Its usually the cheaper fittings that will leak. Reasonably i would suggest to check the pressure if you dont adjust it at all like you would check the pressure in your tires.

I had no idea there was an entry level bag set up that you could add on later. I'm very interested. You gave great input when I was shopping for wheels don't know if you remember. I love my 22s would love it better with air. I watched the video on your site today and other than $ I'm sold. What does the budget version run you out the door installed compaired to the ultimate UAS hook up?

Wow, and what do you have to do to change the height again? There's basically no compressor or anything, and you have to air the bags up like you air your tires up?

Add and subract air to lift and lower. same fitting as the tires have.
have u noticed a difference in the preformance of the car with bags on it. I used to have a Nissan Xterra with bags and the ride was horrible if i floored it i felt like i was about to do a wheelie.... and the body roll was out of control...
anyone with a 300 bagged have any complaints on how the car actually preforms... i know it looks cool thats why i did it to my truck.... but id rather drive really fast then sit there looking cool lol
