Lowered....read this and support it you must!!!!

I don't know exactly how to start this, so here it goes. I hope everyone doesn't mind me speaking out on behalf of all the 300C owners that are riding on double dueces. We all get the comment, "needs lowering....".

Here's what we have to say about that.... We agree with you. Lowering your ride with 22s has to be one of the mods that will set you apart from the average stock 300C around. No debate.

Here's what we are looking for. All and any information anyone has on what they have done to lower their 300C with 22s. From hardware to your personal experience. Do not hold back on posts!!!!

The wheels/tires forum has those sticky threads that have been going for over a year now. Can one of the senior members do everyone a great service and do one for "lowering". You could have one thread for lowering with traditional spring changes to the extreme air suspension.

For those who went before us...supply the info so we can make the best decision for each of us.

Now....start your posts.......

case and piont, pic of my ride....perfect example

Yeah my ride needs to be lowered also. I don't want to go cheaper than KW's but better quality than the Eibachs.

are you talking about all eibach's?? Cause thats what I have and they feel great I love them!! I lowered mine 2inches!! Looks great I only have 20's though my neighbor has 22's and he said he could only lower it 1.5in cause of the bolt in the arm in the front. You can shave that bolt down though if you have clearence issues caues that bolt will move with the suspension. So if you shave it you dont have to be worried that if you hit a bump in the road that the bolt is going to pop the tire.

Not really hard to do. Get a friend to help you cause you will need it. just take out the shock/spring in the front. 3 bolts on top 1 bolt on the bottom. Clamp the spring take off the nut. Once off slowly unclamp the spring take spring off put on the lowered spring. Push down screw bolt on nice and tight and then put it back in. The back you have 1 bolt you have to take out! You will need to loosen the bolt and before you try to take it out jack up the arm so all the pressure is on the jack take the bolt out slowly let jack down. The pull down and take the old spring out. Put the new one in and then have fun lining the hole back up to put the bolt in. If you have the right tool like a long thin strong metal rod you can line it up that way and then tap the bolt through the hole.
It really isnt that hard. I have never put in an air system in the 300 so I dont know about that!

Has anyone had any minor/major problems or issues related to lowering? I have heard of decrease in ride quality, bottoming out, rubbing fender well, problem with stock shocks, etc. Does anyone regret lowering their car?

i actually lowered mine quite a bit, and in my sig it was when i changed the shocks over and put the wheels on so it actually dropped a bit more after that(gotta remember to take an updated pic)

didnt have to do anything with the fender wall, they were a perfect fit, i do have to take it really slow over speed bumps and if i know the street has pot holes i try and look out for them when im driving, sorta get more attention sometimes as i cruise down the street at slow speeds.

As the back in riding on the bump stops people have made comments such as" its like a jumping castle in the back there" " its more fun in the back" , i suppose i was going for the gangsta look so i dont mind there being a little bonuce in the rear, nothing but staring from everyone i drive past, also often get people following me around. " that thing is almost on the ground", if a had another 300c i would do the same thing to it, but each to their own

I have 22's and the KWv2 and I have lowered mine very aggresively, case in point I rub my fenders all the time to the point that I am going to have to have some body work done on them so that the crease that has formed won't be visible any more. But I don't regret lowering the car, because it looks great, rides great, and gets much props!

Here has been my experience. I lowered the car with Eibach's December 04. I was never really pleased with how the car sat, the ride was good. I eventually had the rear spring cut 3/4 of a coil and thr ride was still good. Then I made the change to KW V2's and what a diffierance. I was able to position the car where I wanted it to sit and the ride is incredible. After a little fine tuning, the cars ride and handling are perfect. I have had countless people comment, that they are shocked at how good the cars ride is. No one believes that it has 22's and is as low as it is. SMK you are in the right direction, you selected good qaulity wheels.
