Self Leveling suspension

I've been researching lowering springs for my 05 300c. Everyone asks about the rear self leveling suspension prior to giving me a part number. IS their a difference and if so how do I tell If my car has it, vin number or what? THanks kevin

Ive only seen them in magnums and out-of-country 300's. If you have the option for "tow package" then you have them.

Are the self leveling shocks stock on 2006 SRT8 300's? If it was an option, how do you tell teh difference between leveling and non leveling shocks?

I had the car up in the air today rolling the rear fenders and did NOT see any external lines attached to the rear shocks.

I want to lower the car about 1" without much sacrifice in the ride. I am on a budget or I would just go with the airride. Any spring suggestions?

Thank s again for the help.

I think the only 300s (American, anyway) with self-leveling shocks are the those with the SRT Design Group (NOT SRT8). If you do have self-leveling shocks, they have to be replaced with standard shocks before installing lowering springs.

Nivomat self-leveling shocks are standard equipment for the rears on all SRT8s. They don't use any external lines, all the oil and valving is inside the shock.
