Question Thinking about suspension mod

Hello! I recently acquired 300C for my daily commute. I used to drive Mustang and miss stick shift and controlled (not boat-like) ride. I am thinking about installing Eibach springs, but I need your help. When I install new springs, do I have to replace shocks as well (to Bilsteins)? I don't like my car to be race-car like stiffness, but as you know, a little less roll would be nice!
Thank you for your help!

Thank you for advises! Here's next question (sorry!). The nearest tire shop quoted $500 for installation and alignment. Is this high? (I was hoping it lower...) I am on low budget.

Try the Hotchkis sway bars.

For the 2WD Eibach makes a replacement dampener. Had I the choice on my AWD and it to do over again I would replace both at the same time to save the install cost on the dampeners in 6 months. The lower and stiffer spring will definitely get rid of that boat feeling you referred to. If you go with the Eibach the Pro springs drop the car about 1 1/2" the Sport drops the car about 2". From what I've read on this forum the KW's are a better system but more expensive. Hope that helps.

If I was in your position, I would price out SRT-8 springs, shocks and sway bars front and rear. SRT-8 springs lower the car 1/2" but I am assuming the suspension geometry stays where it needs to be for handling purposes. Simply lowering the car without paying attention to front roll centers, etc is not, in my opinion the way to go. The SRT-8 system has already been engineered so you would have no doubts about what the car would ride and handle like.

If I was going to consider an outside source I would quiz them mercilessly about what changes to suspension their kits would do.

My SRT-8 300C handles great without bouncing my kidneys out of my body. I don't think you would be disappointed.

Just my opinion but you did ask.
