Cool Can anyone answer this?

I have a 2006 300C SRT8. I'd like to hear from someone who has installed the Mopar(KW) coilover and has 15-20K on the to see what problems have occured. My dealer says they will void my warranty but more importantly I do not want to add a mod that will damage the vehicle in any way. Same inquiry applies to CAI's and Mopar(corsa) exhaust. Thanks!

Funny cause team SRT used them on the lap of America racing 300c SRT.
Some dealers just suck. They have to prove that the new set up caused the problems (if ever any) be fore voiding anything.

Welcome Nevada Flyer and I really don’t see how they could say that about the warranty if they are properly installed. I thought stuff from Mopar wouldn’t upset the apple cart.

I may be mistaken, but I think Teahead went with the KW’s. Here is a post about it. Hope this helps. Good luck!

First off Nevada Flyer.
Welcome to the Dark Side that is the SRT.

Signed Lord Vader.

Both the 300CSRT and Charger SRT race cars are using the KW suspension system and the Corsa exhaust.

Then when the engineers over at DCX give there thumbs, then the product gets slapped with the MoPar name.

So The Mopar coil over system is made by KW for MoPar (MotorParts).

The Mopar approved exhaust for the LX platform is made by Corsa for MoPar.

I was under the impression that if you used Mopar approved products that they would be included under the warranty. Someone chime in if they know differently.

Freebird,
That all sounds right to me. Plus, it's been said in various threads and reiterated by crhemi....mods. can't void warranties unless the dealership can prove they are responsible for whatever goes defective.

NEVADA FLYER,
Welcome to the 300c forums and congratulations on your brand new SRT-8. I encourage you to mod to your heart's content. Your dealership is ignorant, especially to the fact that you are sticking with MOPAR choices. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your SRT.

Thanks to everyone for their encouraging words as I'm dying do these mods. I have contacted Chrysler customer asssistance and Mike Ferrell pretty much gave me the party line that mods(Mopar or otherwise) would not necessarily void any warranty but, if there was a failure subsequently, the dealer, in consultation with Chrysler would determine if the mod was responsible and make a decision regarding the part the mod played in the failure. Now, I can understand Chrysler not wanting to warranty the part, as they don't make them but if they put their name on it shouldn't that imply that they are safe to use? Even their description of the coilovers state they improve ride and handling! I can understand their hesitancy about non spec wheels, tires, sway bars, etc. as this adds other variables to the mix. The only non Mopar part I would love to add is the Dub CAI as it looks soo bad!
Does anyone have a feel for who should install these parts? On the positive side my dealer agreed to replace rotors and pads sight unseen( mine are grooved at 800 miles) Thanks again, I love this forum! Fred Grimes
