Charger SRT8 suspension swap?

I posted this on the general discussion board, but either no one knows or cares. Maybe the suspension gurus here can help.

I just read on hemi.com that the Charger SRT8 suspension is 15% stiffer than the 300 and Magnum SRT8 suspensions. Which begs the question, will it fit a 300? What is different (just springs, struts and springs)? and Has anyone done this before?

I'm doing it right now and my suspension guy said the upper strut mount brackets are different. John Hennessey at Hennessy Performance said that he had no problems in the past but my shop said otherwise. Your guess is as good as mine.

It will fit with no problems.

n4sir,there is no difference between the strut towers.Do you have a pic of what the shop says is different?Do they mean the front or rear?If it's the rear you need to take the mount off the old shock and put it on the new.

After some further research/reading, I saw that it might be just the springs that different. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Swapping springs is a WHOLE lot easier than everythng.

The SRT uses Bilstien front struts and Nivomat rear shocks. The rear shocks are a different rate than a tow package Nivomat.Swapping springs rerquires you to pull the struts in the front so you might as well change them to,and pulling the shocks in the rear so you may as well change the rear shocks.Don't skimp,do the whole package,it's well worth it.Your sway bars are the same as the SRT though so those you don't need .
