lowering question

Im preparing to install the mopar lowering springs on my C.........

Do I need to get an ailignment afterwards too?

Will this need to be done again when I change out my 22's for the stocker 18's for the winter or just one time?

Should I get an ailignment right away or wait until the springs settle and then do it.....if so, how many miles should I log onto the new springs to allow proper settling before the ailignment?

Anything else I need to figure on doing once the springs are installed?

Im new to this suspension stuff.....

I've ALWAYS gone to check the alignment/have the alignment done after lowering. You won't need another alignment when putting your 22's back on. Once the alignment is setup with your 18's, your 22's will be just fine.

I've waited for up to two weeks to get an alignment after I've installed springs, but have gone as early as 7 days also. I'm sure there will be varying opinions, but I think it's safe to wait 1 to 2 weeks before an alignment.

The only other thing you need to do after the alignment is, enjoy the new look!

Thanks Simans........did you do the install yourself?

What did you use to pry the rubber boot back....the instructions say to use a special tool....any way to get around purchasing this tool and use something else?

I assume that an ailignment first with my 22's will be fine for when I put my 18's on for the winter, right?

Just as a side note, you obviously may want to throw the stockers on when you lower it and whatnot. You may have already hinted towards this, but it's not a bad idea to do so.

Not only do you NOT want to give any abnormal wear to your 22" tires, but it sometimes is easier for the shop to do the laser alignment with the smaller wheels. On top of that, you want to make sure they don't scratch up your 22's during the alignment process. They'll be attaching some things to your wheels in preperation for the alignment.

It's much easier to just rock the stockers for the installation of the springs and the alignment.

I have yet to dive into the 300's suspension yet, but have done 5 of my previous vehicles. I will be going with the UAS system this winter while it's in storage. Damn winters...

Read my above post for your other question.

Man, you finally did it. Congrats! Did you post pics yet? I want to see how it came out. I'm almost ready to make my purchase. However, leaning toward the KWV2.

That is great advice for those considering this mod
