>> Hotchkis sways for SRT8?

I will be installing KW VarII coilovers soon on my SRT8, and I was considering installing Hotchkis anti-sway bars at the same time. I have read very positive things about them, but mostly from 300C owners. Since the SRT8 has larger sways on it from the factory, is it worth it to upgrade further to the Hotchkis setup?
Any SRT8 owners out there who have installed Hotchkis (or others)?

Thanks!

I have the KW V2's and the Hotchkis sways on my 3CSRT. The rear Hotchkis is just a bit bigger than our OEM ones. But the Front Hotchkis is Ginormous. A huge difference. Plus like you I waited until I had all the parts in and did the install all at one time.

My MagSRT is my daily and will porbably not get the KW's and drop the height. But I already have my Hotchkis sways ready to install along with my JBA exhaust. I would have installed them already but have not had a chance to run the MagSRT, at the 1/4 mile in bone stock set up.

When it comes to sway bars, Hotchkis is the Game.

I contacted Hotchkis direct. Bought from the source.

Thanks guys for the input!

I have been researching the sways and found a number of vendors. Here are the lowest prices I found, some are supporting vendors of 300cforums.com:

http://store.titanmotorsports.com/05doma2wd.html

http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/hotchkis/products?session_id=6a8ee1fa41a1d2bcbd4204bccf3c85 85

I was surprised to learn that the C and SRT8 used the same sways.

For those with the total setup of Swaybars and the coilovers, how little drop can you set them for? I bump my chin often enough with the stock suspension. If anyone has had them on for any length of time, will the car settle further over time beyond the drop when they are installed?

Tork,

I ordered my bars from High Horse Performance. I did get a discount by mentioning this forum. I also have my exhaust coming from Tbyrne, so I'll install both at the same time.

All springs, struts, coilovers will drop a small amount over time.

Here is an example of just our stock SRT springs.

When I lived in my Home (I sold it this summer). The driveway had to be taken at an angle with the SRT's and no scrape on the underside of the front fascia, to get up the driveway from the street. Bo'sRT has 25K miles on his MagnumSRT and I had 300 miles on my Magnum SRT. Everytime I pulled in or out of my driveway, no light scrapes. But no matter how many times Bo came over and was very careful going up or down the drive like I do. He would lightly, lightly scrape the underside of his front fascia. We both have the stock SRT suspension on our MagSRT's. As you can see over 25K miles later and Bo's MagnumSRT has settled a small amount.

Further to what Freebird said: the KWs are gas shocks and they are not rechargeable and they don't sell just the gas canister. If too much gas leaks out, you buy and install new shocks. I don't know how long they last until the leakage is noticeable.

It could be many years or one year, I just have no idea.

Freebird isn't it more likely that Bo's OE shocks have lost some pressure, than that his springs have sagged already?

When my OE shocks deteriorate, I'll consider KWv2 as replacement and do swaybars at that time. It seemed some others were thinking of selling similar shocks for the SRT8 but I haven't seen them hit the market. I remember there was a Japanese company that refused to put a timeline to it, but it seemed that theirs would be rechargeable.
