A major KW authorized dealer in Las Vegas, who is not a supporting member here, told me that you have to replace the whole unit and they don't sell the shock separately.
This doesn't mean necessarily that there isn't an aftermarket shock somewhere and a way to rebuild them; I don't know about that.

By the time these go out, I would assume that someone else will own your car. How many miles are the shocks suppposed to be good for?
Don't confuse features with goodness. Just because Teins have double-adjustability does not, in and of itself, mean they are better shocks than KW. How do they perform on the car?
i had a set of tien flex edfc on my old prelude and i loved 'em couldn't have asked for a better suspension!!! i hope tein releases their set for the 300c soon. i'm sure they will be great for the money
Teahead, those look great. And they say they're "available for overhaul". I guess that means you can overhaul them by replacing just the shock. Another advantage over KW.
And EDFC looks like you get the adjustability of an airbag suspesion (unless you want a lowrider for some reason) in a real performance system. Killer!
But I still don't see our cars on their application list. They told me months ago they were developing a system for our cars. Will it be available soon??

If it fits a CHarger, it'll fit a 300. Maybe not AWD though.
To me, this is better than an adjustable airbag suspension.
Typical air bag suspension, when you let out the air to drop the car, you reduce your spring rate. Not good when you want your car to handle, but good I guess if you want to really slam your car or want to drive over steep driveways. However, you still have no adjustability for compression and rebound.
EDFC will allow real performance tuning on the fly. Rebound and compression at your fingertips. FOr height adjustability, you still need to crank it for height adjustability, but I haven't had to ever adjust the height once its set.
However, I wish to GAWD the KWs had compression adjustability (Variant IIIs, which not avail. on LXs) to soak up big bumps.
But w/EDFC, being able to adjust comp AND rebound ON THE FLY means for driving around town, with crappy Seattle roads, you can adjust the comp/rebound soft.
For spirited, smooth driving, crank up the comp/rebound.
Wish these Teins came out last year.
