HHP had a group buy on the suspension techniques coilovers, not the tein. Hopefully these will be out soon.

Absolutely. Its a total transformation of the car and how you can treat it. Add in sway bars and you are golden for cornering, although they do put you outside of the envelope with respect to a comfy sedan ride. The car is kind of a brick with them on but you can corner even harder.

One thing you can do if you're on a budget is put on an SRT take-off suspension. A lot of SRT owners are pulling their systems off and putting on KW's. You can get an SRT suspension for $400-500 shipped.

These are some pictures of the Tein stuff on my car. I guess they took these pictures before they gave me the car back to me.

I still haven't heard about a release date for these...

Seems to be about the price of the Hotchkis TVS new. I've been eyeing it for a little while. Any reason why the SRT suspension would be better?

The car looks fine, it looks ... slightly lowered.

Can you take shots underneath the car showing the Tein parts and how they are installed?

This is a lot lower than stock...

As for the pictures of the system. I do not have it on the car right now. They used my car as a test fit only a long time ago. They only had the one kit and they took it off my car before they gave it back to me. I am waiting for them to get the kits into the U.S. Then at that time I will have a ton of pictures of the install and more before and after shots.

Actually its quite a bit different.

The Hotchkis TVS (Total Vehicle Suspension) system isn't quite total. It consists of springs and sway bars.... no shocks. You get to keep the stockers, or go out and buy a set of Eibach dampers as replacements for like another $600 or so. And you'll need to. Lowering springs will stress your stock shocks thanks to the reduced travel available to them. Mine died in only a few months. Many others have experienced the same thing, only at different time intervals. Thats part of why so many guys who did springs eventually wound up with KW's.

Now, an SRT take-off suspension is springs and shocks, where both are designed to work together, so there are no reduced longevity issues.

But there are also no sway bars included in a take-off set, typically (and you wouldn't want them since you can buy real good ones from Hotchkis).

I've driven SRT-suspended 5.7's hard, as well as SRT's at a twisty track. The SRT suspension is a respectable and superior setup. Far FAR better than keeping the stock shocks. And the ride is still very comfortable.

If you want to go hard core in the direction of performance, add in Hotchkis sway bars. Couple those to an SRT take-off suspension and you have the best budget alternative for hi-perf driving I think.
