Actually its quite a bit different.
The Hotchkis TVS (Total Vehicle Suspension) system isn't
quite total. It consists of springs and sway bars.... no shocks. You get to keep the stockers, or go out and buy a set of Eibach dampers as replacements for like another $600 or so. And you'll need to. Lowering springs will stress your stock shocks thanks to the reduced travel available to them. Mine died in only a few months. Many others have experienced the same thing, only at different time intervals. Thats part of why so many guys who did springs eventually wound up with KW's.
Now, an SRT take-off suspension is springs and shocks, where both are designed to work together, so there are no reduced longevity issues.
But there are also no sway bars included in a take-off set, typically (and you wouldn't want them since you can buy real good ones from Hotchkis).
I've driven SRT-suspended 5.7's hard, as well as SRT's at a twisty track. The SRT suspension is a respectable and superior setup. Far FAR better than keeping the stock shocks. And the ride is still very comfortable.
If you want to go hard core in the direction of performance, add in Hotchkis sway bars. Couple those to an SRT take-off suspension and you have the best budget alternative for hi-perf driving I think.
