*PICS* KWV2 Hotchkis w/fenders rolled; the perfect combo

I fell in love with my car again....

It all started last summer when I purchased a new set of shoes for my baby. Asanti AF132 wrapped in Pirelli Scorpions. IMO, the best choice in wheels. I was in heaven. Well, until I had a run in with this corner at excessive speeds. Between the body roll and the float of 22s with stock suspension and feedback from my fellow forum members. I knew it was only a matter of time. She needed to be lowered.

As usual, I spend way to much time thinking and researching before each mod. What should I do? Time passed and I found myself two weeks before Vegas Caravan. Oh, wouldn't it be sweet to be sittn' low for the ride. With not very much time I opted for the Eibachs. Let me tell you. When she was parked she looked great. My trunk was full, so for the Vegas week the car look level. After one week in Vegas here is my experience. The ride was hard and the car bounced all over the rode. At one point it felt like the car jumped up off all fours and landed a foot to the right. The rake was about an inch or more which IMO, looked like crap. After a week driving the car I hated it big time and the inside of my fender lip look like waves in the ocean.

I told myself that's enough time to stick with my original plan. If your not going to do it right don't do the mod at all. I'm in San Diego so I hook up with www.group5motorsport.com These guys don't mess around. We talk it through and I explained what I really want. Group5 hooked me up big time. Since they are a direct dealer with KW it made it even easier. Step one was install KWV2 and Hotchkis sways. Step two fenders rolled. Step three drive the car for a week and final adjustment on the ride height and wholly sh!t....

Like I said, "I fell in love with my car again". To be honest I'm not the most technical guy with these mods, I can only give you my impressions which are based on the look and how the car feels to drive. First the look, see for yourself below. Beautiful, killer stance. Dialed in right were I want it. Clean level look. Second, the ride. The performance is amazing. Night and day. Corners at excessive speeds are looked for instead of avoided. The fenders came out great. The guys at Group5 were not only about the best price. Their techs are top notch. I've included some pics of the fenders being rolled as I know there are a lot of forum members out there asking about it. They did heat the fenders and then used a soft mallet and worked the metal. Be careful where you go as IMO, this work is an art form. Don't be fooled by any prices you might see on their web site. They are a direct dealer for KW and have to post regular pricing. Give them a call, their deals are deep.

Enjoy the pics!!!!

AMAZING. great write up. the car looks beautiful i had hotchkis sways on my last ride and i have nothin but good words for that product..as you said, when you lower your car, throw on some hotchkis sways, and add new wheels and tires, it really is night and day. the stock suspension on our cars suck, so bad that i can honestly say, that my ford expedition (with its new suspension and wheels), took better corners than my stock C. anyways, keep drivin and enjoy the "NEW" ride

Great write-up. I have both the V2s and the Hotchkis bars and indeed its like getting a whole new car. Driving fun just plain goes up several notches,

Real interesting about the rolled fenders. Thanks very much for sharing that. I get rubbing on mine and it drives me nuts. Now I have to figure out who can do that here locally on my car.
