Problem with Eibach springs and SRT-8

I finally decided to get some 22 wheels for my 300 SRT-8. I wanted to lower the car with Eibach springs but the guy at the wheel place said there was an issue with the Eibach and SRT-8(can't recall what he said). He said they would have to cut the stock springs. Is this true? I don't want to cut 'em unless I have to. So what's the deal with this?

I had the Eibach 1.6" lowering springs installed on my 2006 SRT-8 with the factory 20" wheels. I've never had any problems with the springs nor did they have to cut anything to install the springs. I'd get another opinion from another shop.

The only problem is the shocks will wear faster. Thats the only problems I have heard. You could also go with KW V2 that way you can lower it how you like it, its adjustable. I have the Eibach sportsline kit in my car and I love it!!
