300c Steering wheel

Hello everybody I have a steering wheel that came out of a 300c and I am putting it in to my base model 300. I have the OEM navigation system but I was wondering if I will be able to control the radio from the steering wheel. Or do I need to get A wiring harness. The dealer is no help in the matter I tried already.

Thanks

The steering controls are connected via a "clock spring" not a wire harness per say....

in theory I would say that all the 300's have the same clock spring unit which means the "wiring" is there, However, your CCN (computer that controls the interior options) may not have the proper circuit board on it to allow usage of the controls.

Since the 300c comes with the EVIC system and the base models don't chances are they won't work. but find a dealer with a tech willing to hook you up to a star scan unit and turn the features on in the cars CCN and then you will know if they work or not.

Thanks for the input I will look into that this week. How do you hack into the navigation while in motion?

Do a search for the nav hack. I think there are a few members that will help you out if you need it.
