[quote=Mr. iNCREDIBLE;347148]I have 46K on my 300c... suspension replacement is nearing in the future 15k miles...

Can someone explain this? After 60K miles is my suspension going to blow? Mr. Incredible are you saying the suspension has to be replaced? or just springs?

I hightly doubt its going to "blow". If your talking about stock suspension its just getting worn. After 60k miles you should replace your shocks because by then they are most likely worn-out. Inspect all of your bushings/ball joints etc.

What he said;

just common maintenance....

60K (esp for me cause I do a lot of highway driving in LA and the freeways here esp the "710" are all tore up from Semi's) is the "recommended" time to change suspension components... I'll probably get to it around 70K

I can feel the changes in the suspension over the past few months. but being a semi-frugal kinda guy I prefer to wear out the stock before going aftermarket.

suspension

Before I spent a lot of serious dollars on suspension mods, I would replace the shocks with a more performance oriented shock, even more performance orientated than the SRT shocks. I think that is going to give you more bang for your buck than anything and if you decide you want more performance by adding springs or sway bars, you will not have to replace the shocks.
Make sure you find a shop specializing in suspension mods that is reputable. Also make sure you are very clear on what you want. If a firmer ride is all, similiar to our SRT's, then maybe replacing your suspension with the SRT suspension might be the way to go....if it is even possible.
I like the referral to Hotckiss (sp) as they have an excellent reputation and should be able to provide options in increasing sophistication you can take to improve the handling of your car.

I have not been happy with the stock 300c ride, too mushy... I realize this was done because the 300 is a luxury car not a performance car, but I want it to be stiffer, esp going into high speed corners..

so...

what is the best suspension kit out there for the LX's? that is priced under $1000, air? coil over? stiffer springs?

i don't mind lowering the car slightly to accomplish this... so any ideas?

Another alternative is coming, if you are willing to wait a little (mid 2007?). KONI will have rebound-adjustable Sport shocks for the LX cars for about $700-750 a set. You can lower the body to any reasonable level you choose and you can adjust the damping level to suit.

If this is true, this may be the way to go.

Even if the Koni is pushed out, we are having them make shocks for us to fit the LX's. They are hopefully going to be in around June.

How are they adjusting ride height on the koni's? Or are you saying you can add lowering springs and then adjust the koni's for rebound and damping?

Thanks

Shawn
