hey, when you mounted your rear cups, how did you secure the top cup in place? I got the bottom one secured with the bolt that goes through the lower control arm and attaches with a big washer and a nut. I just couldnt figure out how to mount the top cups in place. It came with 2 long bolts. Any ideas??
Thanks

If you're talking about actually "seating" the rear cups when you have them on the car, you're going to have to have a pry bar on the top pushing them towards the upper mount and have someone air them up ever so slightly so they set themselves in.

You'll have to make sure to FULLY air up the rear after they are seated so they STAY seated. Then when you let the car down, you won't have any problems."

You can also take the 2 long bolts with nuts and use those to attach your the upper cups. You simply drill a hole through the upper spring perch and the upper cups. Then slide the bolt through the holes and attach the nut. This will help secure the upper cups into the spring perch and you won't have to worry about them coming out. Granted you won't have many instances that these will come out but they are good to have bolted in place. The most common place I can think of is when I got my oil changed at the dealership. This perticular dealership used a lift to raise my car since they did not have a pit. This will cause the cups to drop down even if you have them fully inflated.

It also helps if you are making a sharp turn up an incline, such as a driveway. Sometimes you will get a small clank in the back from the cups shifting a little bit. Bolting them in stops that.

I have my rear cups installed without the bolts. I do get that clank when I go up a curb.

I will get the bolt size tomorrow. They are all at the shop. I didn't get them when I orignally ordered my kit last summer. So I asked Zack to send me the bolt kit when I ordered my other tank and compressors. I believe they are sending them with the kits now, so make sure yours are not there.

I wasn't gonna bother asking Zack for them since they are easy to get at any hardware store. When I called to order my stuff, I asked Zack about what bolt size I would need and he said he would just throw them in with my order. That's UAS for ya. Number one company do business with.

When I ordered my kit last summer, I didn't get them. I wasn't really worried about it since they can be gotten at any hardware store. I noticed the clank everytime I pulled into my driveway, so it got a bit annoying. My biggest concern was when the dealership changed my oil. I had to go out and line up the upper cups as they set the car down off the lift. They did not fall out or come out of the upper mount enough to worry about. They would have seated again once the car was set down, but mine were aired all the way up. So in case I forgot to air them all the way up next time, I figured I better do something while I had it apart this time.
