I guess it depends on how you look at it. If I bought the air to ride ABOVE stock height, I obviously wouldn't have bought it. lol

When I bump up the car from a full pancake, it usually sits at 130 or 140 PSI in each bag... that's plenty high for me. It locks out at about 190 PSI in each corner for reference. I don't see the point in constantly pumping up the bags to max them out. I like being at a slightly lowered ride height.

After being on the alignment machine for an afternoon, I know exactly where I'm in and out of spec, so I'm not concerned with locking it all the way up wherever I go.

we fixed the air leak... no problem at all... im willing to bet i have one of the quieetest setups.... we extreme dynamatted the entire spare well... then screwed in 1/2" carpeted wood overtop the dynamat
(except under the tank... no point and would sit too high out of the well)

THEN i took like a 4 inch x 12inch strip of carpeting... folded it twice... then wrapped one layer of electrical tape around it so it doesnt come undone...
(wasnt necessary for the tape lol i was bored while my installer put the gauge in the ashtray lol)
anyways i made 6 of these folded carpet pads.. i put 2 pads under the front of each compressor since this is where the motor and vibration come from on the compressor... and 1 pad under the back of each... then we screwed them down ... sitting on the carpeted pads... and didnt screw them too tight.. firm and stationary but not over tight...

to give you a quick detailed mental visual... each compressor sits on the rubber gromets it came with... which sits on two 1/2" stacked folded carpet pads which is then screwed to 1/2" carpeted wood... which is screwed to extreme dynamat... which is then finally screwed to the metal spare well LOL... everyone DO THIS... 60 bucks in materials... MOSTLy being the dynamat for the entire spare well... do it id have to say...

TOTALLY basing this off 4u2nvs older videos of his air ride setup... when you could hear the sound of the compressors... not saying his were loud... but compared to the few steps i made... id say i decreased the sound by about 75%... and obviously you can get as creative as you want...

Based on what we've seen tried and heard... 50 - 75% of the sound you get IMHO... is from the vibration the compressor creates being screwed to a metal floor which is part of your frame... versus the actual sound of the motors running... which still make some sound but nothing compared to the vibration... we took the simple theory that.. the more sound and vibration dampening materials we use.. the more the sound should compress...

I.E Extreme DYnamat, THick Carpeted Wood, More Carpet, Rubber Gromets

THEN the false floor i have overtop the spare well is 1/4"masonite carpeted... well then i also slapped a layer of extreme dynamat underneath this panel..to help stop sound form entering into the trunk and cabin.. then the sound also has to travel through my paneled off woofer box which is the width of the trunk behind the seat and my leather seat... i killed almost ALL vibration... you can hear them if your sitting still with no radio... but my borla exhaust easily takes over the sound of the compressors... AND you really cant hear the compressors outside the car AT ALL... especially if its running... I told you im a perfectionist with mods lol... bu tlook at what it gets me

we got the height sensors in.. just waiting on the brackets from blowndakrt... andddd EVERYTHINGS AWESOME! im gonna take pics tomorrow for SURE... otherwise your gonna think im the lambo kid pretty soon LOL...

Thats really cool laidback. I'm going to try that. Especially if you can't hear the pumps from outside the car when the car is on. That is extremly impressive. I'm going to have to do something similar. Can't wait to check out the pix, and I'm glad you got all your minor's fixed.

Glad you got everything squared out. Where did you find the front leak at? Just checking to see if its something common when doing an install. Also, what did the figure out with the senders jumping around or not reading correctly? I knew they were getting "EE" messages at first, but that was because you mounted the valves to a board. The senders needed a ground.

I am hoping mine will be as quiet, but I have quite a few more to try and hush. LOL.

Ohh dude,
its been snowing every weekend up here or just too cold to justify a 2 day install.
I finaly got the extra parts i needed, just in time for winter to hit again.....
Did the fatmat install in the whole trunk not just in the well and Ive got all the odds and ends tied up so It should just roll along when i get out there.
Shes my daily driver right now so my hands are tied till the snow breaks but Im parking her next winter for sure.

I would like to say my car comes first, but sometimes life will catch up with you i guess. Between doing major renos in the house, stupid snow and getting to work life just wont let me finish this install......
Now that ive seen dubsters water traps i know im going to need them too, how on earth can you get them in the tire well?
Laidback. Did you find a way to get that extra inch with 35's?
