300C AWD Lowering Springs
I recently had a Chrysler dealer install original Mopar 300C lowering springs on my 2006 AWD 300C...man what a disaster...they never told me that the Mopar lowering springs are not for a AWD 300C...they are only for the 2WD 300c...well I didn't know this and after 2 days of driving my car and every bump I hit in the road felt like I had no rubber on my rims...seriously my car sounded and felt like it was cracking in half...so after researching the newly installed springs on the Mopar website I come to realize something that I can't even begin to believe the dealership did not know...the springs are not for a AWD 300c but for a 2WD 300c...so I go about 5mph all the way back to the dealership and hand them a printout of the Mopar website showing that the lowering springs should not be installed on a AWD 300c...they were in shock and again I can not believe they did not know this...anyhow they did remove the lowering springs, reinstalled the original ones and refunded me all my money...2 reasons why I started this thread is, 1. Beware and don't ever install Mopar lowering springs on a AWD 300c and 2. Does anyone know if the Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs for AWD 300c ride hard? Does anyone have them on their AWD 300c and give me some insight and feedback? My AWD 300c has TIS07 20" rims with Toyo Proxy tires on it...I hate the huge gap in the wheel well and I would like to close a good portion of that gap...the Eibach Springs are the only ones I have seen for the AWD 300c...before I purchase them I would like to know if when I hit a bump will it feel like once again I have no rubber on my rims? With my 20" rims the car rides very close to the original ride with the 18" rims on it...does any other company make lowering springs for the AWD 300c? Thanks in advance for anyone that can shed any light on this for me...love this website!!!
