KW V2 and Hotchkis Install Price

For those of you who have had your KW's installed by professionals, how much did you pay? I called around and it seemed like nobody wanted to do the job, but I finally found two people to do it and one said it was a 5 hour job and the other said a 8 hour job. Of course I went with the 5 hour guy, plus his shop was a lot more professional and they did a good job. However I eneded up being charged for 8 hours because he said the rear sway bar for the touring is a SOB since it doesnt come with one stock. And to make fine adjustments on the rear you have to take the shock out just to be able to adjust it, so it ended up taking 8 hours. I'm not sure it really took them this long since a lot of you did your own install in about 6 hours in a freakin drive way, but whatever. So the final cost was $800 for me, but I also brought in my parts instead of buying through them since I got a good deal from our supporting vendors. Just interested in the amount you all payed, please state your labor rate, what you had done, and if you bought your parts yourself or from them. Thanks a lot and I will get some pics up of the 22's tucked when it stops raining and I wash the bad boy.

I paid $495 for my KW install. I don't recal exactly how much my sway bars were to install but I believe it was around $200 but that also included a height adjustment on the rear coilovers.

Can't wait to see your pics!!!!

$100 per corner for the KW install + $175 for the sways was what I was quoted here by a good quality shop.

Now that's a deal! if money were tight, you could just install 3 corners and start saving for the 4th. hehe

Every shop I called said it would take anywhere from 4-8 hours. I didn't want to take a chance and pay by the hour b/c I could guarantee you that it would end up taking the max amount of hours (even if it didn't). I like a flat rate up front. Even an estimate is fine but at least I knew what the ball park figure was going to be.

One shop quoted $155/hr and a minimum of 8 hours. Do the math and thats more than I paid for the KWs!!!!!

$85 per/h * 5 hours = $425 for KWV2 and Hotchkis Sport Sways. Anything close to this from a reputable shop with certified techs is a great price!!!!
