Eibach springs = Blown Factory Shocks

Those of you running Eibach springs on your factory shocks will realize over time that the factory shock will no longer do its job due to the springs. I now have over 30k on my drop kit and my rims nearly tuck in the front.

I ordered some ST Suspension coilovers a few weeks back and am having them installed this morning. I should have some impressions later.

You can see how low the eibachs have gotten in this picture:

I scrape the front Xenon lip just about everywhere Its going to get a repaint after i get these coilovers dialed in at the right ride height.

You have any before/during/after pics - as in pics immediately after the install, pics several months later, pics a few months later than that, and then finally the pic you show above? It'd be interesting if you could see a timeline of the settling / shocks wearing out.

G'luck.

G'luck.
Fresh Eibach installation:

Scraping and fender bottoming out has become increasingly worse. I've got through one repaint of the front lip already and its due for another. Hopefully lifting it back up a bit will help. I'm sure the ride will be a lot nicer.

East LA doesnt have the best streets.

The problem is not the springs, its the shock/ damper. This issue came up before some time ago, the lowering springs wear the OE shocks out much faster because the OE shocks just cant take the new load put on them by the lower shock.

Yep what he said.
Mine only lasted a year with very low driving miles. The OEM's shocks just can't handle the shorter springs.

I've had my Eibachs on for about a year now without any real issues. Considering what you guys are typing about the OEM shocks not being able to handle the additional load, I guess the quickest fix without going over to coilovers would be purchasing a better set of shocks to offset the modification the Eibach negatively creates over time. Would I be right in assuming this?

Eibach makes damper kits to match up with their springs kits, the pro-kit or the sportlines. That's what I'll be getting after my springs go out on me.

Well, that's all the convincing I need to get KW Coilovers instead of the Sportline springs...
