Bump Steer fixed by suspension upgrade?

Hi All,

2005 300C.

I have the condition on the roads in illinois where every bump seems
to transmit through the steering wheel. Car tracks straight, but
some bumps move the wheel.

at 18000 replaced the contis with goodyear and noticed an improvement.

changed the air pressure from 32 to 36 psi and got a little better.

But driving ANY other car back to back makes the problem really
noticeable.

would moving to a stronger damper or even coilover setup help?
what about swaybar changes?

Thanks for any input.

I just put coilovers and sway bars on and it got rid of the problem completely. I hated when it use to do that to, especially if you hit a bump going around an exit ramp. sometimes my whole rear end would feel like it jumped a foot over to the left. I can honestly say all the steering and handling problems this car had are now gone with minimal sacrifice to ride quality. Hotchskis sway bars and KW coilovers are the way to go!
