I know that is the best price, and I'll be getting them eventually....

How much of a difference are the KW V1 or V2s vs. my stock SRT setup?

If it hasn't been mentioned before here, the MOPAR coil overs are KW V1's. The differences between V1's and V2's are:

Variant 1 sportive - harmonic with KW factory pre-set up dampening

The ideal systems for customers wishing to rely on the experience of our engineers yet determine their own degree of lowering. In extensive driving tests our engineers have set the dampers for the best balance between sporty driving, comfort and safety.

Optimally adjusted, sporty and comfortable dampening technology
inox-line stainless steel technology at no extra charge
Individually height adjustable
German TUEV-tested lowering range
High-quality components for long life
Comprehensive documentation for ease of use
Spring rates (lbs/inch or Progressive Spring): Front=500 / Rear=855

Variant 2 sporty and personalized with adjustable rebound damping

The system intended for the experienced driver who requires to not only determine the individual lowering of their vehicle, but adjust the damper setting to fine tune the system to their needs. The adjustable rebound damper allows adjustment of the pitch and roll behavior of the vehicle, adapting it to ones own driving preferences.

Damping technology with individually adjustable rebound
inox-line stainless steel technology at no additional charge
Individually height adjustable
German TUEV-tested adjustment parameters
High-quality components for long life
Comprehensive documentation for ease of use
Infinitely adjustable rebound damping

Spring rates (lbs/inch or Progressive Spring): Front 500 / Rear 855

So, basically, you can adjust the rebound rate (dampening) on the V2's whereas the V1 dampening rate is fixed. Information I received from other members on this forum leads me to believe that not many do any rebound adjustment at all. Others, who have the V1's, are very pleased with the results.

Yes, you can go with springs and different shocks. But check out the pricing of the MOPAR coil overs when comparing all options and costs. Just FYI, here's some pricing I got while shopping for coilovers:

KW V2 Coilover shocks, P/N 15227016:

Hennessey Performance $1,995.00

Strippermotorsports.com $1,312.00

TByrne $1,599.00

BMC Performance $1,475.00

Stealth Auto $1,350.00 (V1’s)

MOPAR Parts (V1’s):

****’s Country Dodge $1,275.00

Wyckoff$1,299.95

These prices are about 1 month old and may not be the most current price you could get.

Whatever you decide, good luck with your choice.
