KW V2 Lowering and Install

I am waiting with baited breath for my Variant 2 coilovers and was wondering if there is anything specific I need to know before installing them. I'm going with 1.25" of drop because of our roads and keeping stock wheels/tires because of our cops. Anything odd that will be required and not included before I start in on her? Thanks.

Everything you need is included. The shop that did mine said everything was a breeze and there was nothing 'out of the ordinary' in order to complete the install.

G'luck and post plenty of before/after pics.

Thanks. I'll put up some pics when it's done. So far the Flashpaq has been the best advice on here. It cured all the attitude issues especially with the gearbox. I'm finishing up a small and clean sub install as well and waiting on custom carpets including the trunk with orange 300C/HEMI logo's. It's bold but hopefully it will look good. Everyone on here is Uber helpful and I appreciate it.

The install is relatively simple and almost any shop can do it with normal tools. Everything needed for install is included in the kit.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

The only suggestion I would make is get them to do the swaybar (Hotchki's or Eibach) while they are there. It will save you money, and you will likely do it later.

Yup.

I wanted to do the sway bar at the same time originally as well. I'm lucky enough to have a friend with a full garage he does subaru mods and restoration work out of, 4 point lift and all. Thusly I can get under her at will. I just bought the KW's, Flashpaq, Billet pedals, all new carpets including custom trunk carpet all embroidered, amp/sub/LC-6 and all the install goodies- in other words I need to install all of these newly purchased goods before I buy more. For financial reasons as well as "Oh my God I have alot of work to do!" reasons I decided the Sway bars and Corsa exhaust would be included in the next wave- next month

These cars make us young. I know I feel twenty again when all I worried about was having the fastest four-cylinder around. My best was my Mk II VW GTI that crushed the quarter in 12.9 average... until the motor blew. And then blew again, and again... damn juice. The HEMI is a bit more reliable.

Keep in mind the kit will settle about 1/4" over time. If you're looking for a 1.25" drop I would suggest dropping it 1" at first.

I had a shop install mine.

However, w/my new wheels/tires, to prevent rubbing w/3 people in the back, I'd like to raise the car .5".

Anyone have a "how-to" to adjust the rear suspension?

Finished!!!

I've got it all done now, Hotchkis and Corsa and all. The rear spring perch is beyond a nightmare. Except for lowering the cradle to get to it I don't see adjustment possible on my car. I guess the spring compressor might do it but over all it's ridiculous. We just did the check up adjustment after settling and with me in the car for handling reasons and had to lower the cradle to add 1/16th to the left shock and the rear swaybar... without a lift I would leave it alone and lose some friends.
