I would go with some H&R springs. Had them before and you wouldn't regret them. They are german engineered and used on many racing cars in the states and Europe. STAY AWAY FROM COILOVERS!!!!!!

I haven't heard any negative remarks on coilovers. Now, most of the folks that have installed them went with the KW V1's or V2's or the MOPAR coilover kit (KW V1's) and were very pleased, even over time and mileage, with the performance.
So what's wrong with coilovers in your experience? Just curious as I am seriously contemplating doing them.

Maybe youv'e been in acoma for the past 5 years,,so i'll let you in on a little secret!!! springs are the cheap way around a n excellent ride!! coilovers that are designed for our applications are the best way to get a drop for performance rides. (Your weakest link is your strongest point)

LOL...but I am interested in hearing the opposing viewpoint.

I Am Hoping You Are On My Side There Maddog?? Eh Eh
Everything I've heard supports your position, bro!
I've never heard anything negative about coilovers except once a fella put the wrong ones on his 300ZX and had all kinds of trouble...but it was his fault, not the fault of the parts.
So, I'm leaning your way!!!

I must be lost. Don't all SRT8 have Nivomat rear dampers? The only way to lower a Nivomat vehicle is to replace the rear coil and shock. What did I miss?
Coilovers (or a matched spring/shock set), if properly engineered, are superior to lowering springs.
When you install stiffer springs, you generally need less compression and more rebound on the shocks. If the shocks and springs are mismatched, handling and ride quality will suffer.
People often confuse reduced sway with better handling. Reduced sway is just one piece of the puzzle. Wheel control is at least as important, and the right spring rates and shock valving are critical for wheel control.

You didn't miss anything. I said that earlier, but some people don't want to hear it. They'll put the springs on and then the rear will still be up in the air...
