Lowering Springs for 06 SRT8

I just got done picking up my car from Les Schwabs and the Eibach Springs would not fit on my SRT 8! Is there any springs available to put on the SRT 8's?

Hotchkis makes an SRT8 set. You better make sure you don't have Nivomat self-leveling shocks in the rear though, or no lowering springs are going to work. I don't know of any SRT8s without the Nivomats, thats why most move to coilovers instead of lowering springs.

Domestic Car >> Chrysler >> 2005-2007 300C SRT8 300C SRT8 Sport Coil Springs

Item# 19105
Retail Price: $306.95

When we decided to manufacture coil spring for the 300C SRT8 we took our time and researched other springs on the market. With those springs in mind we found a great combination of performance and comfortable ride characteristics. Our springs feature a linear rate design, and come complete with urethane bump stops.

Note: Not for vehicles with load leveling suspension

Spring Rate:
Front: 280lb
Rear: 650 lb

300C SRT8 Drop:Front: 1/8" Rear: 5/8"

Charger SRT8 Drop : Front: 1/4" Rear: 3/4"

Thanks 1FastSedan! It looks like you have a SRT8. I'm very new to upgrades to vehicles! But, what coilovers would be best if I do have the leveling rear end? Would I have to get springs that fit the coilovers or the just the coilovers alone? Thanks for the info!

Coilovers include both the shock/strut and springs. There are several different brands available: Mopar, KW (version 1 and 2), ST Suspensions, Eibach and TEIN. With the exception of TEIN, they're all made by KW.

KW V1 Coilovers are a great upgrade. Hotchkis springs will also work.

so you can use the hotchkis springs and not get the coil overs? 1500 just seems a bit much to be able to lower your car..

Springs only = Bounce

If put lowering springs on without a shock designed to work with those springs, you can expect some unpleasant side-effects. I just tried this, my car bounces like a low-rider Impala and hits bottom. I am going back for KWs next week. Save yourself some labor costs and disappointment and get the KWs.

KWs = MASSIVE RIDE IMPROVEMENT

Got the KWs on. They made all the difference. Only one bounce per bump now. Cornering is truly SICK. I did raise it up .5 inches all around, but once it settles it should be perfect. The lowering springs alone looked better, but the handling was poor.

Well worth the money, especially if you add in the cost of replacing stock shocks when they blow in six months.
