$1,000 to replace Struts/Springs/Shocks

I need a little help. I was lucky enough to get a set of SRT-8 struts/springs/shocks for my 300C, I called the dealer and they say I need SRT-8 spindles, and the rear axle has to be dropped to put the rear springs in, plus they want to charge me $1k in labor to do the work. Does this sound right, I have read posts on here and have not seen anyone saying they had to drop there rear axle.

I am pretty sure you don't have to change spindles. As for dropping the rear end to change the springs. Yes that is the easiest way to do it. Sounds alot worse than what it is. Reomove the rear shock is 3 bolts very easy. Drop rear one bolt and a floor jack. Total rear removal and install without air tools is about 3 hours for an amateur.

so far I called 3 dealerships they all want $1k or more and are not really wanting to do the job, I called a les schwab and they don't do that kind of work

Call a suspension shop.

you do not have to change the spindles for your suspension swap. i paid about $400. you only need the spindles for the brembos. do not pay that dealer $ 1,000. that's bs. go to a suspension shop or a custom "pimp" shop. where do you live?
