Stock Shocks

If I lower my 300 with Eibach or any other how long will the factory shocks last before I have to replace them? Any input will help my decision to go with a more aggressive drop or to just go with the Mopar 1 inch lowering springs Thanks

No joke. But my comment was based on other forum member posts, and posts on the Lxforums.
One forum member is Fatchance. He switched from Eibachs to KWv2's after about 6 months. On the LXForums, several members were reporting the same issue.

Stock 300c shocks ARE soft

I just had my 300c lowered with Sprint springs which are a linear spring like the stock springs. At the same time, I put on some SRT8 take-off wheels with the F1 tires. I was told life would be good, and that the stock shocks would take the 1.5 inch drop without issue.

WRONG!

The stock shocks were soft before the lowering, and I knew that what they told me was too good to be true. I can count on hitting the bottom of the shock at least once everytime I drive.

I had them bring in a set of KWV1s that will be replacing the Sprints and stock shocks next week. A guy at the shop that is doing the work has a Magnum with the KWV1, and there is a world of difference. Lowered, but solid and firm without being harsh or bouncy.

The Eibach kit with the dampers was also an option, but I have read a lot of posts about that combination being somewhat harsh compared to the KWs.

I will post back on the KWs if anyone is interested.

06 300C - 5K miles
Magnaflow Exhaust
35% Tint side and rear
SRT8 Stock Wheels w/F1 staggered
Stainless Pillars
E&G Classic Billet Grill
Sprint Lowering springs 1.5" drop f&R
Tinted Taillights and side markers

KWs are installed!

The KWs made a world of difference in my application. Only one bounce per bump in the road, and an order of magnitude improvement in handling. Like a different car, mind blowing.

I can't recommend this solution highly enough. My only regret is that I didn't know better and paid twice for labor to get the desired result.

Don't make the same mistake I did!
