Shock and Strut replacement (which brand is good, better, best, worse?)
I have a 05' 300Touring w/22" rims and 70K. I think it's time to replace the suspension, can anyone recommend a store or brand that I should be replacing them with?

I am not sure what aftermarket companies are build OEM struts for the LX's yet. Depending on what you are trying to do, OEM might be the way to go, that is if any companies are offering them, or you can get them through the dealership.
If you are looking to add some handling or better ride, you might want to go with some SRT 8 struts up front.
There is another option on the horizon, but still in the protyping phase. So can't talk about them yet. When they are available, I'm sure it will be posted on the forum.
KYB now makes the front struts. Got some from Tirerack.
I'm getting them on my Charger today and I"ll see how they do. KYB usually are a good OEM (not long lasting, but perform well)
At 50K, with the way I take bumps ;-), my front shocks are a little weak.
Here is an picture of what we are doing with the LX platform -- of maybe several!
2940 Coil These coils drop a Charger R/T about 26mm. 2941 Rear Lowering Coil for Nivomat Shock These coils drop a Charger R/T about 25mm. 2981 Rear Lowering Coil for non-Nivomat Shock These coils drop a Charger R/T about 34mm. The 2940 & 2981 coils are what were used on the Pedders / Anthem SEMA vehicle. EP6568 LX Inner Front Control Arm Bush EP6567 Front Radius Rod Forward Bush Kit EP6570 Front Upper Wishbone Adjustable Bush Kit These four eccentrics add castor adjustment and increase the range of camber adjustment. Rear Suspension You can see the EP1172 Sub-Frame Kit, the EP7282 Toe Link Kit, the EP7277 adjustable control arm bushes, 429001-18A eXtreme Adjustable Sway Bar and the 424210 double ball joint endlink. EP1172 Rear sub-frame Bush Kit There are four x-member bushes on an LX. The Pedders kit dramatically increases the amount of control surfaces between the IRS and the monocoque. The more stable the mounting points for the IRS directly results in a more stable vehicle. The bolts are NOT TTY and CAN be re-used. Take a close look at the large rear upper. There is a metal washer to prevent the bush from being cut by the stamped steel ring in the sub-frame. The large wide upper evenly distribute the load from the sub-frame to the body / monocoque. EP7276 LX Rear Control-Radius Arm Bush Standard -- The EP7277 is the Adjustable and can be used interchangeably. EP2113 Bumpsteer Correction Kit The eccentric is mounted in the 6 o'clock position lowering the mounting hole, raising the rack and reducing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bump_Steer"]bumpsteer[/url] significantly. EP4107 Front Lower Shock Bush Kit EP4108 Rear Lower Shock Bush Kit 144304 Front Shock Fits both Left and Right Sides - Shipped with loose nut. The only difference in an OE left and an OE Right is the the side the nut is welded too. The loose nut allows the front Pedders Shock to work on the Left or Right side.
Why is this so critical -- look at these two pictures. The sub-frame is literally banging against the floor panels. All this squirm, the witness marks demonstrate what you already know. The rear of your LX has a mind of its own -- until it is Pedderised.

I've had great luck with KYB's, and really like their GR-2 line. Let us know how they perform, thanks.

So far so good. They are a definite improvement over the stocks at 50Kmiles. It seems a fair comparison to by brother's Charger at 20K. So I'm satisfied unless the fail quickly.

I had a set of KYBs on my Fiero and I won't ever use KYBs again. They performed reasonably decently--while they worked. But they were completely shot in under 20K miles. And of course the lifetime warranty was worthless as I'd lost the original invoice and the manufacturer wouldn't honor the warranty without it.

What about low-mile take-offs from other 300s? I'm looking at replacing my 300C's springs, shocks and struts with SRT-8 parts. My car's only got 7K on it, so the existing suspension has plenty of life left. I have no idea what the parts would be worth, though. (I'm not trying to sell you my parts but if there is demand for them, I may put them up for sale once they've been replaced.)
