strut brace

Finally received my DC Strut brace toady. Needless to say I couldn't wait to install it until I got home. So once I found a ratchet I was off to work, 5 minutes later running it down the road.

What a difference it makes. I know I've seen people post about them, but I will say its well worth it. Completely satisfied.

Glad to see you like it. I love mine as well but I've seen some post that these cars already have them built in and they dont believe it would help. As you see for yourself it DOES make a difference.

Haven't modded my car in a long time so I bought the strut bar. Unfortunately there is a manufacturing defect and I am having difficulty getting a replacement. The box was delivered in perfect condition and the bar was well packaged/wrapped. So IMO the damage is a manufacturing defect.

Apparently DC Sports has been purchased by another company and is moving to China. So the dealer I bought from is having difficulty reaching DC Sport to arrange a replacement. Supposedly DC Sport said they are sending me a replacement right now, but I don't have tracking number.

If you're referring to the crease on the underside of the rear bar, they all have that. It was added to clear the tranny dipstick tube on certain cars. I don't know which models in particular, everything on my 6.1 cleared the bar with no problem.

Thanks rsmeanie for letting me know.
I even sent pictures to the company I bought from and they didn't say it was normal. They probably don't know it belongs there. They told me they contacted DC Sports via email and DC Sports was going to send me a replacement. I guess DC Sports didn't get the pictures.

That crease is in a very odd place and looks like it will significantly weaken the bar. Not in a million years would I have thought that crease was by design.

There was a post awhile back about the crease. I thought the same thing but they all have it. You don't see it from the top and realistically, 1 bar should be enough to tie the towers together.

Yes, I have a 2006 300 C and also would like to hear about the advantages of a strut brace as this is the first one I have seen.

1. Will it help on the freeway or just at the track ? Is there more control at high speeds ?

2. How about day to day driving on normal streets. Is the drive more smooth and less jarring on the bumps?

Appreciate your input here.

Many thanks
