2" or 1.6' drop..???

Ok.. I have a 2008 300 Touring V6 and I want to lower the car. My options are the Eibach springs..Pro-kit 1.6 drop or Sportline 2.0 drop. Now, i will be putting 20inch rims on but i haven't decided which tire size i'm going with.

here are the orig tire specs:

215-65-17
Sidewall 5.5 IN
Diameter 28 in
Circumference 88 in

OPTIONS

245-40-20
Sidewall 3.9
Diameter 27.7
Circumference 87.1

245-45-20
Sidewall 4.3
Diameter 28.7
Circumference 87.1

255-40-20
Sidewall 4
Diameter 28
Circumference 88.1

255-45-20
Sidewall 4.5
Diameter 29
Circumference 91.2

What do you guys suggest? and why....thx..

I did the hotchkis springs and im very happy with the drop... on OE size tires there is about 1 inch of wheel gap, and ride is only slightly firmer then stock... it handles MUCH better though!

I just dropped my "C" with the Eibach sportline springs and I have 22's and It's my daily driver. I drive on the 101 freeway, up to "bumpy" Highland past Hollywood, to Wilshire " jacked up road" Blvd 5 days a week. I have not scraped or rubbed the tire wells yet. It rides pretty smooth still and I killed most of the gap.

2" would be too low for me.
2" should be OK for regular driving situations, but there will be those exceptions where 2" is going to create problems.

High speed bumps, rounded/hump driveway entrances, deep driveway entrances, dirt/gravel roads with undulating terrain, and car ramps will be difficult to navigate.
Also, if you have a full load of passengers the car will drop another 1/4" to 1/2".
But there are lots of folks with 2" drops that will say they don't have any problems. You will just have to be extra careful to ensure you don't get yourself in a bad situation.

i have a 2" drop with H&R springs on 22's. it looks nice and sweet. i dont have any real issues when driving over humps and what not. i am used to driving lowered cars.

the issue i have is the lowering springs with stock wheels in the winter. it does look good on my C but i bottom out on bumps and scrape on stuff from time to time. it is not a regular thing for me to scrape because i am careful in the first place.

Im at 2" on KW v2 setup with 24s and its a daily driver with no problems. If you do the 2" drop seriously consider rolling your fenders.
