i was wondering if anyone has any info on rollin fenders if youve done it before or rather had it done. a few questions i have are : do you need to remove the plastic liner in the wheel well and is it a necessity to roll on a 2in drop with 22x9.5 rims, also how much did you pay with spring install- thanks

I had mine done In Austin. You only roll the top of the fender, about 8-10 inches on each side of the top center of the arch... maybe a bit less. You leave the plastic on when you do it.
Lots of folks here lowered their car 2 inches, never rolled their fenders, and never rubbed even with 5 or six fat friends in the car going over railroad tracks. But I submit it only takes one incident of the tire grabbing the un-rolled lip to ruin your fender and your month. So I say, roll them!! If nothing else, just for insurance and peace of mind. You can't tell they are rolled from looking at the car, and it should cost maybe 150 bucks. I paid (I think) 100-130 dollars to have mine done. Might have been less... I know it was on the lower end of 100 bucks.
A fender, paint, and a tire cost more than that.
My KW install was about 750 bucks with tire mounting on 22" rims, sway bar install, and a good alignment.

I agree with Steve. Better to get it done than have to go through a costly repair. The old method was to use a baseball bat to do this, but Eastwood has an actual tool to do it now and it looks pretty slick. It's not likely you'll have much use for it after you're done, but maybe someone out there has one they'd be willing to loan out???
One caution, to avoid paint chipping and cracking, heat the area up first.
Here's a thread I made about a year and a half ago on this. The first post has a link to the tool for what it's worth.
Its ironic this forum was started today cause I went to subway and hit a pothole while taking a corner and this is the result. I have a buddy coming out tomorrow to fix this. It could have been worse. I should have just rolled them when I had the chance.

I think what it does do is prove these things can happen when we least expect them to. Thanks for the pics. It'll reinforce this thread for sure.
i have mine rolled as well.. its easy all you need is a heat gun and a hammer and and something to put between the hammer and the paint.

Yep!! That's exactly what I meant.. it only takes one freak accident. Sorry it happened to you... This is why I always suggest to get them rolled.. just in case.
I had already made an appointment to get mine rolled. They couldn't do it the day of the install due to time constraints (only one mech at soulspeed in Austin) but had me scheduled the next week. In that 1st week, I rubbed the back at 65 or so MPH over a bump with no damage, and did the same thing as pictured above, about 1/2 that bad and at the top of the arch. I think if you are financially able ( I know not every one is, BTW) it might be prudent to do this BEFORE you get dropped if at all possible... in case they run out of time after lowering the car.
hey once again you guys all rock with the information, its good being a forum member.... and beinc nice whip love them 24s- now i feel like i got "c-ness" envy and am 2in short...
