i had the same sound like a strut was bad, so i took it in and the noise was from bad sway bar links and my driver side tension strut bar was bent i had it all replaced and now it seems to have tighter steering and no noise.

I own a 05 300C with the same noise. I have had all the components in the front end replaced and still hear the noise. It appears worse when it is wet and damp.

I own a '05 300C with the same noise. It has been to the dealer 8 times and they have replaced the entire front suspension. I still have the same clunk going over bumps. It appears to be worse when it wet and damp. Ready to jack the car up myself and check it out.

Don't have any ideas why the clunking would be louder when wet and damp.

You might check the bolts on the stock strut bar.
Heidi at BilletTechnology posted these pics on another website. These are the bolts to the stock strut bar. Her car was clunking and these bolts needed tightening. I tightened all my bolts, but they were not real loose.

Not positive, but it should pop off. But I was able to just bend the plastic up and slide a box end wrench underneath the plastic and tighten the bolts.
You just have to make sure not to over tighten the bolt and guess at the right torque.

Well that wasn't it. Still making some noise. Thanks Joey for the info. I hear it when I turn my wheel to right or left.
