The bushes in your LX will last a long time is driven the way the car and bushes were designed to be driven. If you drive your car the way I drive mine -- you'll have bush issues. They will not be warranty. They will be owner abuse. The common denominator in LX bush failure is aggressive driving. It is not a function of model. It is a function of use.
Being in dealership service departments mall of my working life, I hve seen lots of seriously dmaged vehicles due to probelms with suspension, brakes, and tires. These are things I personally take seriously due to an acquaintence that lost a child in an accident, becuase he was too cheap to fix some recommendations that I gave him, plus not having his child seat properly secured. So when I talk about passion on safety, it is like a cold dagger in my heart.

The hole point about being dangerous, and I still feel the same, is to get poeple aware of the concern. I have spent a serious amount of time on the LX forums, and I have not seen anything written about them. I have seen 3 vehicles out of about 30 our so that I have personnally inspected with the owners that were all as bad as the Meisters (Jim). I have seen dozens of them, on vheicles that I know have been "played with" that are showing advanced degrees of cracking.

Why hasn't this stuff been reviewed on the forums? I can only assume no one is really looking at them becuase they can be a challenge to see.

but if I have alerted this community to at least every 6K or so, to look at them, and have saved poeple front tires (there are a lot of LX owners with premature front tire wear due to toe issues that are just getting the alignment done and some tie rod end concerns) then I am happy and it was worth the criticism I recieved on this forum. What is interesting is I think I posted this same identical post on 2-3 other forums, and this is the only forum I have received any negative comments on. But that is ok, just wnat everyone safe

We have a Shop Certification scheduled for Tuesday the 22nd in the LA area. We train our Dealers on the Best Practices for installation of Pedders bits. The LX platform is a complex installation. The first installation we did took over 30 hours. As we have refined the process it has almost been cut in half. The results of our in shop education are reflected in the efficiency with which the work is done and the predictability of the result. We want each installation and guest experience to be perfect. They are almost never perfect, but if you strive for perfect then the result of failure is still a damn good one.

The purpose of this post is two fold. One, you are all invited to come to the House of Power and see a LX torn down and assembled Pedders style. We had two vehicles scheduled. One just cancelled. Since Mike White my West Coast Business Development Manager is already booked his flights and hotel we want to back fill the second spot. If you would like a super deal on a Pedders Track II Bush Kit installed by House of Power and Mike White get on the phone right now and call Mike.

I have to agree with this gentleman from Peddlers (Mike), Gentlemen, I have seen them fail on my Mercedes 300SEL which is the platform for this car the 300C. Chrysler got this thing to go fast, so handling is a big thing for me, so this is the next upgrade on my vehicle front and rear. Good job and good write-up Peddlers!

Pete just did a Pedders day on yesterday, and inspected 3 LXs. @ of them had seriously torn radius rod bushes. The 3rd one was OK becasue it was brand new. I mention this again for all of you to be aware of the issues

Here are 2 vidoes showing the differences with OEM radius rod and lower control arm bushes and pedders. What it shows is a OEM radius rod bush in a vice, and pulling the radius rod arm at the end with a 1 to 2 pound pull. There is some serious movement. The second video shows the same setup, but with a Pedders bushing installed. With about 15 pounds of pull, the movement is maybe 10% or less
