Arrow Razor's Edge Front Strut Tower Brace Install

Remove shock tower caps, Use KD Tool #KD-3705 or similar to remove push pins and not scratch plastic cowl fascia:

Carefully pry away wiring harness attached to OEM cross member, you will have re-attach to new strut tower brace upon re-install with two (2) wire ties.

Unbolt the OEM Cross member and computer support brace: (Passenger’s side)

Remove wire tie from Driver’s side that holds the wiper motor harness:

After everything is removed, clean all road debris (if any) from the work area using shop air:

Install Razor’s Edge Front Strut Tower Brace, Passenger’s side first, over shooting mounting points, (make sure fender is protected) as you will need to slide the wiper motor into the mounting notch on the new unit:

Razor’s Edge Front Strut Tower Brace in place, bolts not tightened down for positioning and fittment:

Left over fastener from passenger’s side harness that was removed from harness connector:

Harness connector now mounted to new Strut Tower Brace with two wire ties:

Razor’s Edge Front Strut Tower Brace Driver’s side mounting bold outside washer had to be filed 1/16th of an inch to fit inside the brace end mount:

Close tolerances shown and securing the outside driver’s mounting bolt:

Passenger’s side cowl fascia was missing a hole in the Razor’s Edge Front Strut Tower Brace, so I punched it and then drilled it as shown in the next two pics:

Perfect hole for the pushpin:

Finally tighten all the mounting bolts for the newly installed Strut Tower Brace, don’t be a friggin’ gorilla about it….

Newly mounted Razor’s Edge Front Strut Tower Brace:

VERY NICE! I was going to get one, but won't fit with the VORTECH S/C

All you need now is the 2 or 4 point rear brace and chassis brace

Thats sweet! I was thinking of changing mine from the DC brace. Definitely keep us up to date with the 4 point install.

Will do, the only thing I'm waiting for is the used/spare trunk side panels so I don't cut up my originals. I'm not UNIQUE AUTO or MONSTER GARAGE, but I want this to look like a factory install.

Excellent write-up! Thanks.

I hope to be able to use it one day. I ordered front and rear bars from REM over a month ago, and they charged my card a couple of weeks ago, but no bars, nor any response to multiple e-mails.

Really? I emailed this writeup to them and they got back to me immediately.
I recommend calling them up, tell them your situation. I waited too, but just like any fabricated part there are numerous orders coming in from write-ups like these. The powder coating is usually the reason for holdup as was the case for me.

Perhaps the difference is that your message was about helping them sell things, but mine are just asking them to follow up on money they already have in the bank.

I did business with REM for years for parts for my Ford Lightning, but they have completely dropped off of the Lightning crowd's radar. Very disappointing.

I respect what you're saying--but if you dont communicate bro, how are they gonna know? You should let them know your feelings they make a great product

But I did communicate -- in the appropriate way for an e-commerce transaction!

In any event, I got this response today:

"Sorry for the delay. We had an issue with our last Water Jet company. They closed and did not inform any of there customers. We have since sourced a new on and finally got pieces today. We are bending what pipe we have today and should begin welding Monday.

Again we are so sorry for the delay. We will get these to you ASAP."

So it's all good (But I still question the legality/ethics of charging my card).

Thanks again for the excellent write-up. Had a chance to road test yet?
