Best way to lower an SRT8

I see a lot of threads about lowering with springs, coilovers, or bags but they are usually for the NON-SRT cars. I haven't been able to find any threads addressing the SRT suspension specifically.

When I look at lowering springs for the SRT they only offer around and 1/8" and 5/8" drop on the front and rear respectively. Hardly worth spending money on that kind of a drop.
Coilovers seem to offer greater options, but the 'advice' that I get is too avoid coilovers if you drive on rough roads (and the roads in my city are pathetic). I don't want to have to wear a mouth guard when I drive my car.
Air seems to be another option and possibly easier to keep the car height balanced... but how are they in sub zero conditions (as I sometimes drive my 300 in the winter).

I'm running the stock SRT 20" now, but am considering going to 22" wheels if I can find a style that keeps the performance theme.

So what are other 300C SRT owners doing and do you have pics? What are your experiences with your setups?

Joe

What are you looking to lower it for? Looks? Track performance?

I don't see why you couldn't use the eibach sportlines. I know people here are using the kw v2's and some are now getting into the eibach coilovers as well as the tien.

the problem you have with the srt8 is the rear self levelling shocks. putting any spring on there is pointless as it wont lower.

the cheapest way out is to buy some 08 srt rear shocks (the 08s are not self levelling) and put on some eibachs. I think the pro-kit is 1.5" and the sportlines are 2"

Im am going to be doing the Pedders stuff shortly as I dont really want to lower the car on stock shocks/struts. Ill only have to replace them sooner rather than later.

Thats true... forgot bout the rear shocks. If you do shocks/struts and new coils your already at the price of the coilovers. Whats nice about the coilovers is you can dial in the spring rate you want very easy as the springs can be purchased in different rates.
