Help a NEWBIE Please - Banging front end !

Hey all.. Got a 300c Hemi 5.7 and having such a bum ride after placing fusion 20 inch wheels and toyo proses S/T 255 45/20's on the car. Already replaced the right control arm and linkage and new struts.. Ride is smooth as hell on the highway but look out when hitting bumpy pavement. Feels like the tires are gonna go thru the well and the hard bangs are making me absolutely nuts. What in the name of God is it? Rims? Tires? Tie rods? Stabilizer Bar? ANY SUGGESTIONS would be so welcomed !! Thanx PS I'm Bill

Lots of noise issues with the LX front end. Did it occur before you did all the work?

Areas of concerns are
1. Top strut mount bushes
2. End links
3. Tie rods
4. Loose ball joint nuts. (you said you already replaced a control arm). The ball joint nuts are challenging sometimes to get tight.
5. sway bar mounting bushings
6. Torn radius rod and/or lower control arm bushings
7. torn upper control arm bushings

These are all areas that I have seen that can create really loud noises, and not just tinny kinds of rattles.

So again, when did the noise start specifically

Something is definately loose.

Go re-torque and inspect the front end thoroughly.

UPDATE !!! Got the Steering rack and bushings replaced... NO more bangs or issues... Wonder if it was really the rack or just plain bushings...Now I am afraid to thro on the Toyo tires and rims again... Put the old continental (yck) tires and rims back on thinking that was part of the problem... Does anyone know if I should do any modifications before I put the BT Street Rims and Proxes S/T 255/45R 20's back on ? Any ideas would be appreciated !! Thanx guys

Did you install our Pedders steering gear bushes? If all is OK now, then install our aftermarket wheels and tires and recheck to see what changes you might have

thanks
