alignment specs 300 srt8

I had my alingment done today, after ajustments all specs were on target execept for the caster it was slightly over the max it was 12.30.the tech said it would be fine and would not afect tire wear .He said he could adjust the cradle for a extra charge. How important is caster adjustment.

thanks for any input

As a tech I figured I should reply. Caster is mostly a stability angle and usually not adjustable from the factory. Hence the cradle adjustment. Caster is most felt when straight line stability is needed, a car with out of spec caster could wander or in extreme cases cause a pull but will not wear tires. So long as the car drives straight and true, and all the other angles are right on, I wouldn't worry about Caster unless it is out by a great amount.

Hope that helped.

Caster is not adjustable unless you have upgraded to adjustable upper control arm bushings, and as Justin stated it's not a big deal. As long as the difference left to right is close you have nothing to worry about.

Higher caster numbers will give you more road feel, quicker wheel return, and better turn in

Having a slightly higher caster is a good thing. I would not have any concerns about it.
