Pedders New Rear Upper Adjustable High Performance Control Arm

Pedders is getting close to its 1 year anniversary with the LX communities and products. Even though we are actually nearly 3 years working on the LX product to get it ready. We have done the most thorough R&D than any 2 or 3 suspension companies combined on the LX. Here in brief are some of our accomplishments that now have been accepted into this great community:
1. All LXs have a seriously high amount of bump steer. This causes major toe change, which causes major tire wear concerns on all LXs. Our EP2113 bump steer kit is a simple and very reasonable install, and has made lots of LX owners very happy

2. OEM Front Radius rod bushings tearing. When we first started showing some of the issues we have found on the LX, this community reacted quite negatively. Posts like "why has there never been a radius rod bushing problem on the LX until Pedders appeared? " this was a fairly typical post and email. The answer was simple: No one was looking at it. The front end of the LX is plagued with all kinds of noise issues, and tire wear concerns. Thru posts, and hundreds and hundreds of one on one 28 point Pedders inspections, we have shown owners how to check them themselves. Checking them on an alignment rack can be hard. the above average alignment tech will never even check your tire pressures, let alone inspect your suspension system for you. So during our time on the boards, owners are finding, and getting Chrysler to replace them under their warranties on a daily basis. The advantage of our Pedders bushing is it is cheaper and hundreds of times better than the OEM units. Chrysler does not service this bushing. They replace the entire arm with the same non complaint, soft bushing. the handling improvements of our Pedders radius rod bushing is a very serious improvement for street, strip, and track.

3. Initially we mentioned the serious amount of movement the entire rear end assembly makes on all LXs. It can be 15mm (more than a 1/2inch) separate from the body. We call it step out. We were challenged to prove it, and we did. The rear cradle bushings may be the single most important bushing set to install for handling improvements. Also they are the most challenging to install.

4. Our struts and spring packages have been proven time and time again, to offer great looks, fantastic handling, and still maintain a very high level of road comfort. they have been a serious hit, and our touring package is doing quite well (front and rear coils, dampers all around and bumpster)

With the massive R&D that we have done starting years ago, we found issues that needed to be upgraded but will take some time. Well the time is VERY close. Let me introduce you to the new upper rear adjustable control arm made exclusively by Pedders:

The rear suspension is not adjustable, and is made out of aluminum. The side impacts from accidents break the lower trailing arm first, and the upper control arm second. Plus OEM only allows toe adjustability. We see tons of rear negative camber wear on lots of LX products. So for a year, we have been developing and researching a VERY strong steel control arm that already comes with our great poly bushings, but most importantly, they offer extreme amounts of camber adjustabliltiy. They are also very easy to install by the do it yourselfers.

These units will be perfect for the commercial, drag racing, road racing, street performance and LXs that want rear adjustability, strength, durability, and ease of installation. We have accomplished this for you.

Prices have not been established yet, and we are probably 3-4 months away from having product available for sale. But I just wanted all of you to be aware of what we are accomplishing.

As another note, next year, we will have the most sophisticated multi adjustable coil over that will be available for ALL types of driving experiences and needs. From street use, street performance, drag racing, and road racing. They will be a light year jump in strut technology for the LX community. This is all that I can say about this product line right now.

thanks
mike
