inner tierod or rack

i have 3 and 9 oclock play in both wheels, more on passenger side..the outer tie rods feel tight. the play is coming from inside the rack and pinion boot...are the inner tie rods serviceable. if so..does anyone know where to get the tie rod and the part number..also, does anyone have instructions on how to do it. i have stock 18 wheels and tires. 46k miles.im very mechanically inclined. just would like to know what type of work will be involved. thanks for your help in advance.

These are supposed to be the Chrysler inner tie rod part numbers.

68028824AB (AWD)
68028831AB (RWD)

And Federal Mogul (Moug) is supposed to have one
EV80702

But I have never seen any pics or confirmation of anyone buying these, and no pics or explanation on how to install.

Moog has them. I do not think Chrysler does. Under no circumstances would I use a OEM tie rod!

I think it is just a matter of removing the boot, and with some tools, unscrewing the end of the tie rod off the rack. Alittle simplistic, but that is it

hi all' I to was hearing noise from my left side tire and it was the outer tire rod that was loose and popping. took it to the dealer but still not sure the problem was fixed...when i press down hard on the brake I hear a grinding sound. I think I will take it back to the shop... 2006 300C
