Front End Clunking Gone...

After spending over $600 in the last week on the front end it took just another $25 to stop the clunking.I read a post from another member and he said he replaced the sway bar bushings and his cluncking went away and he only spent $12.... so i said i would give it shot for that price. So i told my mechnic about the bushings and he charged me $25.
He replaced the bushing today and I have no more cluncking.I drove the exact streets back to my house that are bad to see if i heard any clunking which to my suprise no noise at all from the front end.I am so happy that my car sounds like it did when i first got it.

It is simply amazing how much noise those bushings can keep up. And they don't appear to look bad either.

anybody know where we can get them from. any part numbers etc. can they be lubed or do they need replaced. i have everything done to my front end as well for the last 2 years to get rid of this sound. i have had all the front stuff replaced including the bilstiens and rods. did nothing. i even changed the tires and it did nothing. got a little better but pretty much still the same.

Hey guys,

the same for me. Just changed the tension struts, but the noise is still there. So I will try the sway bar bushings! Does someone know the part # ? I think we are talking about #15 in the picture below, right?

Regards
gregLEV

What did the old part look like. Was it dried out, worn through? Did they put any grease or lube on the new one?
