22 inch rims and a bumpy ride, need advice.

I have a question about my 06 300C. I just bought the car a month ago and it has 22 inch rims with low profile tires. I have alot of break noise and its a bumpy ride. Do I need to upgrade my brakes and rotors because I have 22's? What about suspension, do I need to upgrade? I went from a Nissan Maxima to my 300C so im not sure what to expect with big rims and low profile tires. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

it is going to be rougher than stock for sure. Brake noise is common but you need to be more specific about the type of noise and when you hear it. Check the tire pressure, standard is 30psi but many people run much higher psi in lowpro tires. I have seen as high as 60psi in some, that would be like riding on solid tires if you ask me.

Its a high pitched squeel when I apply the brakes, I was told they were glazed over and they replaced the pads and scuffed the rotors but its still there. I was thinking maybe I needed bigger and better pads and rotors. Also with such a bumpy ride I was thinking I need better suspension but if thats normal with low pros and 22's then I guess I just have to get used to it. Thanks for the help.

Probably not. 300's are notorious for brake noise. Try bedding your brakes:

Instructions from DaveZ

Has the car been lowered? Sometimes the shocks will go early if the car is lowered and the proper shocks are not added.

You are not lowered and the ride is that rough? Your wheels must be really heavy?

Get the dealer to fix the brake squeel but you'll have to get used to the ride! (and you will)

The dealer has replaced both front and back brake pads and flipped the rotors I believe. No the car isnt lowered, im thinking maybe I should upgrade to better brakes. Maybe bigger? The thing I dont want to do is bring it to a custom shop and have them sell me the works when I dont need it or can get quality parts and not get ripped off. I was thinking about bedding my brakes but cant really figure out where to do it. SoCal isnt the best place for open road, maybe at 2-3am but that may bring a sobriety test. Thanks for the help.

Yeah the ride is going to be different with 22's on there. You can upgrade to a big brake kit if you want. I'd upgrade to a quality aftermarket rotor and pads. Your oem pads and rotors aren't designed with the use of 22's in mind. I think there is actually some stuff around to handle the squeal but i'm not sure.

If you want to avoid a shop trying to sell you bed and whistle I'd do some research on parts to get. That way you can go in there and let them know what you need. Plus you won't get snowed.

Some good brands are brembo, power slot etc.

seriously, try the bedding process, it's free and works in most cases (not all) and it's free....

Did I mention that it was free?

Won't be free if he get's hemmed up by a cop. He's on 22's too lol, that's bound to get attention. He could print the paper and show it to the cop l guess.
