cutting your springs???/

ok so im getting 22' on my 05 c and im almost certain that the tire-fender gap is going to bug the crap out of me.

my uncle has exact same car and he also has 22's, and he got his front and back springs cut along with some of the fender lip tucked back under.

IMO it just doesnt sound like a good idea.
what are the negatives/positives of getting springs cut, is it really a good idea or should i just deal with it until i get my coilovers

it's going to ride like crap for one. Your shocks are designed for the springs that they come with.

It also upsets the geometry of your vehicle and is very dangerous!!! Lots of threads on this here.

you might be able to find an SRT set up pretty cheap. I installed a free one on mine. Lowers it about 1 1/2 inch and handling is much better!

SRT springs

This is directed to LX Hemi. You had mention in this thread about the disapproval of cutting springs - I agree. You also mention you installed a SRT setup. Was this the springs you installed from the SRT package or the complete shock/spring kit? The reason why I'm asking this is because I just passed up an opportunity to buy this setup. I want to lower my car no more than an 1". Would this setup have given me what I wanted? - thanks, steve
I'm including a picture of the SRT shock/spring package.

I installed the kit you pictured. Springs and shocks. The kit was from an 06 SRT Charger and had the Nivomat rear shocks. (self leveling) It lowered my Magnum about 1" - 1 1/2". I also got the Charger SRT wheels on 275/40's and SRT's Brembo front and rear. What kind of deal were you going to get on the suspension?
