suspension advice pedders touring vs Tein edfc

I just bought a 2007 300c. short story long I wanted to buy a 545i but I got this 300c with 10k on the clock for 19k and I just could not pass on it.

I like the car but IMO the suspention is garbabe stock. no suprise really I expected it to suck and the fact that a 2007 545i with 10k would be 15k more I can spend some money on suspention and a set of wheels and tires to make it look right.

I was looking at the pedders touring setup and the tien edfc.

also looking for input on whether people are changing the radius rod and rear arm bushings right out fo the gate as i have seen the video of how soft they are and there is not way they will maintain alinment under load.

I am leaning towards a peders system as I just like a car drives like I like it. this car will never see the track or anyting I have a z06 for that. I hate a complete spongy mushy ride like some of the say mecedes E series factory adjustable suspention give you on stock setting. The only reason I would pay for the adjustment is if there is not an out fo the box kit that kind of mimics the 545i sportsuspention feel.

I would pay for the extra adjustment though if say the pedders setup is still a bit on the soft side or a bit on the harsh side.

I can't speak for the Pedders shocks but the bushings yes. I installed KW V2 shocks and Hotchkis sways and proceeded to rip half the bushings in the car and turn the rest to jelly. If you have the money and your looking to make the car all it can be go for it.

I switched out to the Tein SS shocks with the EDFC unit a little while back and have never been so impressed. Having the ability to change it on the fly is something I never dreamed of, it gets used dozens of times per day. Wound down full stiff they are almost unbearable at speed on a bumpy back road, without the EDFC there's no way you could enjoy them wound down on the right roads...

I installed Pedders bushings with Pedders sawy bars and it made a world of difference on my SRT8 with stock suspension. It firmed up the ride a lot. Car does not feel nervous around the corners any more. I also have the Razors Edge strut tower brace. Handles much better even with the stock shocks and springs.

Yup, and 2 of the four rear cradle bushings... and a couple more ripped from the sleave but I forget which. I just installed KW V2's and Hotchkis sways and went nuts. Soon I was a proud owner of a 300 with orbital rear steering under acceleration... not good

Depending on where you live the EDFC is the greatest. Like I said here it ranges from terrible to absolute glass, and no one is actually going to dig around and change settings all the time for street use. Not for too long anyway, so you compromise. It offers a new dimension to having coil-overs really...
