changing inner tie rods

looking to change the inner tie rods myself, the stealership wants $1200 because its "impossible" to change the inners and the whole rack needs to be changed, found some moog inner tie rods online, just wondering if im going to be able to change them with the car up on jackstands or should i go to a small time mechanic and let them do it with the hoist?

You can do it on stands I suppose, a lift would be quicker and easier. You will also need an inner tie rod end tool. As well as a pickle fork for the outer's.

stay away from that dealer..... $465 on Chrysler Parts Direct and rockauto is about 245 for a rebuilt unit.

Also, there is a thread with instructions to do this. Here is one but wasn't the one I was looking for:
replacing inner tie rod

Ok so here is my question... i went to get my car aligned to put my 22's back on and my driver side tires is riding on the inside of the wheel, so Big O said its a tires rod that has gone bad from the weight of the 22's because chrysler didnt make them strong enough to put in??? so i need a new tired rod and bushings? there telling me $350 for one side?
