Question HELP! I can't get my rear springs back in (300C).

I just had some 22s and an Eibach Pro-kit put on my car last week. The problem is that the shop ordered/installed springs for a RWD 300C and mine is AWD. As it turns out, Eibach has a part number listed for the springs I need but they're still in the design stage. Wouldn't you know when I took it back to take them off the mechanic had gotten fired the day before.

Here's my dilemna. I got the factory fronts springs back on with no problem, it's the rears that are whooping my behind. Can someone out please help a brutha out. How do you get the rear coils pressed back up in there where the holes line up. I rented a spring compressor and clamped it down quite a bit. I just can't seem to get everything lined up to bolt it back down.

Can someone please break it down for me?

Thanx

Use a large pry bar with the car in the air to pull down on the suspension. It should give you enough room to get the spring back in. If that doesn't allow for enough room the you can do the same with the sway bar links(both sides) dissconnected

Cool

I finally got everything back together today. The front end was easy, but the back--->holy cow; that was awful.

Glad this nightmare is over for you. Is someone going to step up and make this right? I imagine you will get a full refund, what about all the labor costs including yours.

I did get all my money back for parts, labor, tax and alignment. Just one thing has me nervous though. I'm hoping that the front CV knuckles weren't damaged since the front was way too low. Even after I raised it back up I can feel a little resonation in the steering wheel from up front. I don't know if it's coming from the 22inch wheels or from damage from having the wrong parts. I suspect damage but I guess I won't know for sure until winter when I take the big wheels off.

Having AWD gives a little more peace of mind but the availability of custom parts (or the lack there of) is becoming a bit nerve-racking.
