Cutting springs?

OK so i bought these clamps from JCW to lower the rear Eibachs they dont fit. But i want to get rid of the rack look. The only think i can think of is to cut the springs. I dont want to do that. What ideas does anyone have.

We cut the rear of our Eibach kit to get the a$$ out of the air. We took three quarters of one coil out and it sits perfect. I will post pics soon. The ride is awesome too, even with people in the back, no problems.

I love it!!

My vote is to upgrade to a more performance suspension and kill 2 birds with one stone.

Cutting springs?

hello

My 300c is lowered with progressive 1.5" springs and i also have a bad raked stance. i just took my car into the bodyshop to get some hit and run damage fixed. I asked them to cut a full coil out of the back to level it. Is that too much? Now i read that u guys do 3/4 coil. Should i call them and change it haha? The front of my car sits very low, level with the top of the tire. The back needs to come down a good inch at least. Im tired of the rake for the last 6 months since i lowered it. I'd rather do it in one shot than have to pull the coils out twice. Anyone chopped a full coil???

thanks in advance
Lonnie

You guys will regret cutting those springs when one pops out, plus the ride will be bouncy. Just ask me how I know this.

He's right, when you heat or cut the springs, they'll become softer and you'll have a bouncy ride...

springs

DO NOT cut the springs! This will change the rear spring rate, make it stiffer and make the rear of car want to come around to see what the front is doing in emergency situations such as wet pavement, ice, etc. VERY BAD IDEA!

Bite the bullet and get some Eibach or other springs engineered to lower your car, keep the front to rear spring rates balanced and not destroy the good handling the factory engineers designed for your car.

HAHAHAHAH

I took VVV90's advice 2 years ago and went with KW V2. Sold the Eibachs this spring to risky who i think then sold them again.
Spend the money get the KW or some form of a whole suspension rather then just springs you'll safe money in the long run.
