Transport Canada issues recall on 450 2008 LX models

Hi Guys!!

I hope you're OK.

According to an article I found on the CanadianDriver.com website, Transport Canada has issued a 'recall' that effects a total of 450 2008 LX models. [300, Charger and Magnum] No doubt - that number goes WAY up if the recall applies to LX models sold in the U.S. [Which I'm sure it does - but can't find anything to verify that]

"On certain vehicles, incorrectly-manufactured rear axle hub nuts could loosen with time, and allow the half-shaft to disengage from the wheel hub assembly. This could cause the vehicle to lose propulsion. Dealers will replace the rear axle hub nuts."

RS has posted the TSB for this when it first came out in July Craig - http://www.wkjeeps.com/misc/LX/TSB/Recall_RCH2308.pdf. The total number recalled is ~5500.
