Same thing. Any hardware or DIY store should have it.

Northern Rider:

I just received my samples from NYC dashes and the Walnut Burl does indeed match the tortoise shell very well. I wanted to know if you have or had any problems with the edges not staying stuck? Does the Walnut Burl match as well now that you've the dash kit for awhile? Thanks!

Just saw your post now. No, all the edges have stayed in place, so far.

BTW www.edashkit.com are probably a better bet for ordering as they are the actual manufacturer (also an OEM manufacturer) and they offer good discounts.

The dash kit looks great but one should consider not installing all of the pieces since it's a bit over done when completed. The wood we add should be used sparingly to accent ones interior rather than totally transforming it to something it wasn't meant to be. The more wood you add, the more fake and plastic like it looks. Definately cheapens the inside with too much bling!!!

Well, I spent a good part of the day searching for methyl hydrate with out any luck(Don't think it's available as readily in the States. I ended up getting some 3M Prep-Sol 70 (which is actually recommended) I had to buy a friggin gallon. Will offer the unused portion in the buy sell forum once I've installed the kit. Anyone in the Los Angeles area that might need some keep that in mind.

Another great write up NR. I am looking at a kit for my Maggie and I am waiting on samples of a few of the burl woods.

Something I was wondering was you have Auto headlights ? or did you do the mod ? It looks like your switch is over in the spot the A would be in and the dash kit looks to cover where the A would be.

Just wondering, as I actually added the 300 switch to my car so that it Auto would light up Thats an not driving my dad nuts pulling trim apart to let me dremel stuff Turns out I ended up using the dremel for the glove box light, car onlyt last 39 days before I took the dremel too it

Oh well

-Robert

PS - I cant wait for your next track day

I can corroborate that

I followed NR's advice and install instructions and the job came out great.

Wow that is the most complete kit that I have seen. Even the little rings around the door lock pins.
I wonder though do they have THAT COMPLETE a kit available in the Silver Satin? I don't remember that SLK320's photo's showed that many pieces, but maybe he didn't photo all of it.
I like the Silver trim, the wood grain give it a nice rich warm look, but that isn't what I'm looking for.

See this picture?

One tip for stuff like this, is paint the edges of the grey plastic, black, before you apply the sticker, so the grey doesn't jump out between the sticker and the black plastic...
