Well, to tell the truth I hoped for better results of these bulbs. Besides they produce much less light their chrome finish does a little other effect then I thought of. It makes those areas dark where they are. I thought of white or silver shining rooms in my heads and tails. But the chrome cover is a bit dark and that is the reason they do another appearance job. What they really do is eliminating the orange egg effect, but black effect appeared in my headlights instead. I am more satisfied with my tails then heads, but they produce much poorer signals then heads in the daytime.
Sorry Prozac... I don't really understand what you're saying. It appears that you're in agreement with Greenheugh that they aren't bright enough. I certainly haven't found that to be the case... maybe they are coating with a heavier layer of chrome these days?

Hello Prozac,
if you still have the chrome bulbs fitted can you confirm that the heavier filaments are the ones that light up? These are twin filament 3157 bulbs and I hoped there might just be the merest chance they are built opposite to the 3757, which would be a good reason for the dimness.

I am saying these lights are not crystal clear silver, but a little bit darker then silver and that's the reason they made my rooms in head lights to be dark (almost black) instead of silver chrome shining I thought of. I'll post some good photos later. And these lights of course produce less bright then standard it is even written on the Stealth Auto website. It is normal cause they are chrome coated. You can put a default bulb in one taillight and chrome bulb in another and turn on the hazards then you'll see what we're talking about.

I'll check it tomorrow.
Prozac I agree - my Stealth Auto chrome 3757s are also rather black chrome.
I also have the little 194s and they're the chrome colour you'd expect.

Greenheugh I have looked at the chrome StealthAuto's 3757 (which are made from 3157) bulbs and also looked at factory 3757 bulbs using dark glasses when turned my hazards on.
Well, I confirm both bulbs are twin filament but only one filament that is bigger lights up when the bulb is being triggered in both 3157 and 3757. It is just a mirror vision when you look on those stock bulbs and it seems to you that both filaments have fired. Only the bigger at the bottom of the bulb does that really.
Second, I wanted to add that a black color that appeared in my headlights is the hole at the up side of the parking light's room. It is a made during the headlights production when a small stripe of plastic is cut to make that chrome tongue which covers stock orange parking bulbs. So these StealthAuto's chrome bulbs mirror that black color on all over the room.
By the way, I am very happy with my taillights. That is really what I wanted, but unfortunately really weak signals at the daytime because of the chrome layer.
